GRAHAM, Tx (RNN Texoma) -

A new Food Truck Championship of Texas Grand Champion was crowned on Saturday in Graham. The Dumpling Bros, from Denton, took home the $10,000 prize and stole the belt away from two-time champs Gypsy Kit of Wichita Falls.

More than 10,000 foodies attended the fourth edition of the annual event and enjoyed the best mobile cuisine in the lone star state. The only thing that was hotter than the weather was the food.

Many foodies said with the variety of bites it is no wonder so many people attend every year.

"It's awesome that it's a way to get everyone together, the community together," Annie Samford, who traveled from Fort Worth, said. "Everyone loves food so it's so much fun."

"I heard about this almost two months ago so I just had to try," Samuel Carney from Sherman said.

"We hear from most of the businesses here in Graham whether it's retail, restaurants, so on and so forth, of course, hotels that they have a really good weekend when we host the Food Truck Festival and Possum Pedal," Krisa De La Cruz Graham Chamber of Commerce CEO said.

"I've checked out the local shops and stores," Carney said.

"I think anytime we bring people who aren't normally from Graham to Graham that helps your economy and the overall aspects of Graham like the image of Graham, Texas," Toby Reddell a resident of the city said.

It takes 300 volunteers to make the Food Truck Championship of Texas happen. Many local merchants work together, volunteer and sponsor the competition.

"The ability to network in our own community has been just vital to my businesses so it's really helped out local people here, local business immensely," Matt Hughes said.

Each year, De La Cruz said it continues to grow with more food trucks, more support and more hungry people.
