American Cancer Society calls Relay for Life a success

WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - The Wichita Falls American Cancer Society is calling the 21st annual Relay for Life a success.

They raised more than $80,000 during the 12-hour event.

It happened Friday at McNeil Middle School's trace where cancer survivors along with their families and friends walked laps to raise money that will go to cancer research and local services for cancer patients in Wichita County.

The organization will be fundraising until August 31.
