FLOWER MOUND, TEXAS (RNN Texoma) Midwestern State University and North Central Texas College are celebrating a grand opening of a new shared student learning center in Flower Mound, Texas on Wednesday.
Administrators from MSU Texas and NCTC broke ground on the facility in December 2016.
The 31,000 square foot facility has classrooms, science laboratories, lecture halls, seminar classrooms and interactive television classrooms.
Randy Canivel, Director of the MSU Texas Flower Mound facility, said in a press release, the shared facility also has a state-of-the-art webinar room, freeform study/lounging area, tutoring and testing space, administrative and faculty offices, a bookstore with a coffee bar and grab-and-go food items, and a conference room that will be available for community use.
The partnership allows NCTC students to finish their associate degrees and then continue their education at MSU Texas to pursue select baccalaureate degrees on the same campus.
