WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - A lawsuit has been filed against the company that owns the building where Sears Hometown was briefly operational in Wichita Falls.
Sears Authorized Hometown Stores, LLC has filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Federal District Court against Y&O WF LLC.
Y&O WF LLC owns the building on Southwest Parkway and Kemp Blvd. the Wichita Falls' Sears Hometown is located in.
Last week, the store was locked and a note on the door stated $11,000 in rent was owed and the store was shut down.
Court documents say Faith Retail, the franchise owner, abandoned the store around May 18.
Sears is suing to get more than $600,000 worth of owned property and merchandise out of that store.
Y&O WF LLC is not allowing anyone inside the property and Sears is asking the court for a preliminary injunction to allow the company access to property and merchandise that belongs to Sears.
