LAWTON, OK(RNN Texoma) - A Ten Oaks Place resident in Lawton is celebrating a big milestone this weekend.
Jonnie Parker will turn 100 years old on Sunday.
She was born in Duncan and married her late husband, Clyde Parker.
They lived in Waurika and had two daughters.
Mayor Fred Fitch awarded Jonnie with a proclamation from the City of Lawton and she was also presented with a Governor's Commendation from Governor Mary Fallin.
"I'll start with I am a Christian and prayer every day is a big big help. I would attribute my longevity to my lord," Jonnie said.
Jonnie worked for the Department of Agriculture in Jefferson County for 26 years before retiring.
