WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) -

Today was the second day of the 2018 BMX State Qualifier Weekend in Wichita Falls.

Riders from across the country came out to WeeChiTah BMX and gave it all they had to qualify and move on to the next rounds.

Competitors of all ages tackled the course, some as young as 2-years old to adults competing in the advanced division.

One of the people competing, Caleb Dunson, said to him BMX is more than a sport, its a community.

"Honestly I've been doing this for 11 years and it's one of the best sports really out there," Dunson said. "You know BMX isn't really just a sport it's kinda just jumping into a family. This is a family sport, and you can come out here with your family and friends and act like your a bigger part of something and that's just one of the best feelings out there."

There are still a few more qualifiers before the state finals. That will be held in August in Desoto, Texas.
