WFPD: Man accused of concealing drugs in rectum

WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - A Wichita Falls man is behind bars after police said he attempted to conceal drugs inside his body.

According to court documents, just after 11 p.m. on Thursday, officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop after a driver failed to signal before leaving a parked position in the 3000 block of Pennsylvania Road.

The driver exited Kell Freeway W onto Barnett Road and continued driving 0.2 miles before pulling over, according to the arrest affidavit.

The driver was identified as Adam Bolton, 31. Bolton was arrested for the class C violation and taken to the Wichita Co. Jail without incident.

During his ride to the jail, the arresting officer asked Bolton if he had any contraband concealed on his person and Bolton said no several times, according to the arrest affidavit.

Due to the amount of time it took Bolton to pull over, small crumbs of marijuana found inside his vehicle and past drug involvement, officers filled out a strip search affidavit.

During the strip search, Wichita County Sheriff's Office jailers found a small plastic baggie stuffed inside Bolton's anus. Bolton removed the baggie that had a dark brown leafy substance, believed to be K2.

Officers believed Bolton concealed the baggie prior to or after they initiated the traffic stop in an attempt to not be caught with it. Bolton has been charged with Tampering with Physical Evidence, Fail to Signal and a parole violation.
