First aircraft for new pilot training company arrive in Wichita Falls

WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - The first three aircraft for a new pilot training company are now in Wichita Falls.

The planes were developed as military flight trainers similar to the T-6 Texan Two which is used in the Air Force.

The company, the Joint Pilot Academy Group, is a joint venture between Cobra Kai Flight Academy and Grob Aircraft.

Flight training offered will include basic and advanced military.

The President of J-PAG says that could help with the shortage of airmen.

"(We are) trying to work with Sheppard on the pilot shortage, to help them out with the pilot shortage overall in the U.S. Air Force. This training system, not just the airplane which we have developed at J-PAG,to support and supplement in the U.S. Air Force pilot storage," said Martin Bohn.

The company's headquarters will be located at Kickapoo Airport.

There will also be training for all kinds of civilian pilot's licenses.
