GAINESVILLE, TX (KAUZ) - Funding is still available through a program that provides child care reimbursement for job seekers.
The Career Services Center for the North Central Texas College was able to establish this program thanks to the Texas Workforce Commission Wagner-Peyser Grant.
The grant went into effect on November 1, 2017, but CSC officials said the funds were not spent as quickly as they initially thought.
So, they are spreading the word to let people know there is still funding available. Here is how it works, job seekers can meet with a career advisor at the CSC and take advantage of the services it provides.
These job seekers can be students or non-students and they can be currently employed and just looking for a better job or be unemployed.
While these job seekers are using these services and seeking employment, any money they pay for child care can be reimbursed by the CSC through the grant.
If you or someone you know is interested in applying for these services, you can call (940) 498-6259 to schedule an appointment.
Those appointments can be scheduled at each of the NCTC campuses in Gainesville, Corinth, Flower Mound, Bowie, and Graham.
