WF YMCA's beloved Joanne Bartley passes away

WICHITA FALLS, TX (KAUZ) - Joanne Bartley passed away Tuesday, according to the Wichita Falls YMCA's Facebook Page.

The organization posted:

"This spry, energetic, principled, loving lady blessed the YMCA in countless ways.  She was a life-long champion.  We will miss her, but her legacy of service to others will long live on.  We are so grateful for her love!  Please remember her family in your prayers."

Mrs. Joanne Bartley, Bill Bartley's wife, told News Channel 6 in April 2017 at the groundbreaking for the Bill Bartley YMCA branch's $14 million Project, "I've been here since the first brick went there, and it's close to my heart."

Noel Filer, the YMCA Mission Advancement Director, told us Mrs. Bartley is special to them, adding her husband loved the YMCA and put his life's work into making it as great as possible.

Mrs. Bartley was 93-years-old.
