WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - A traffic stop on Wednesday night led to the discovery of drugs and a man's arrest.
Around 10:20 p.m. officers stopped a vehicle near 30th Street and Grace Street in Wichita Falls for a traffic violation.
The driver gave officers consent to search the vehicle. A bag with a scale with white residue on it and several small, clear plastic bags inside was found in the glove compartment.
The driver and passenger were then searched. Officers found three clear plastic bags with a crystal-like substance in the front pocket of the passenger, Larry Teague, 56.
The substance was field tested positive for methamphetamine, according to police. Teague was arrested and the driver was released. During the drive to the Wichita Co. Jail, Teague told officers he had more drugs on him, according to WFPD.
Another bag with a crystal-like substance was found in Teague's underwear. The total weight came out to 43.11 grams, according to police. Teague is also said to have had an Alprazolam pill on him at the time of his arrest.
Teague was booked into the Wichita Co. Jail and charged with Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance in PG 1 and Possession of a Controlled Substance in PG 3. Both charges occurred in drug-free zones.
As of Thursday, Teague remained in the Wichita Co. Jail on a $23,500 bond.
