WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - Monday was filled with announcements of several candidates announcing their bids for election or re-election across Wichita Falls.
One of those came from Nicholas Schreiber. Schreiber filed to run for the Wichita Falls City Council, District 4 seat.
Current District 4 Councilor, Jesse Brown, announced last week he would not seek re-election.
Schreiber was raised in Windthorst and moved to Wichita Falls in 2009. He currently serves as the Director of Marketing for SLA Architects.
Schreiber has volunteered on boards and committees for several non-profits in the area to include Big Brothers Big Sisters, Downtown Development, Meals on Wheels and more.
He was named Texas Big Brother of the Year in 2017 and was part of the Top 20 Under 40 Class of 2014 through the Times Record News, among other accolades.
Schreiber hopes to engage in efforts to keep young adults and young families in the Wichita Falls community if elected to the Wichita Falls City Council.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 6.
