Suspect wanted in 36-hour manhunt has been caught

ELECTRA, TX (KAUZ) - News Channel 6 has confirmed the suspect wanted in the 36-hour manhunt that began Thursday has been captured.

He was found inside a home on SH 240, according to Electra Police Chief Michael Dozier.

The search for James Dylan Bryant, 39, began on Thursday morning around 8 a.m. just north of Electra.

Wichita Co. Sheriff David Duke said a tip led deputies to a home around 5 p.m. where Bryant was found taking a shower.

That home was about 800 yards from the home authorities surrounded Thursday night, according to Sheriff Duke.

Bryant is facing Burglary of a Building, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and Burglary of a Habitation charges, according to authorities.

He will be booked into the Wichita Co. Jail.
