WICHITA FALLS, Tx (RNN Texoma) - At Williams Park on Saturday in Wichita Falls students have the chance to get their hair done for free.
It is happening between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. off of Williams Park Dr.
Kids can get a haircut or braided by the professionals. There will also be free school supplies, backpacks, snacks and a DJ.
Lonnie Mitchell said the reason he is putting this together for the second year is to help build the kid's confidence and spread the message of anti-bullying.
"Everybody will go back to school decent and minds ready to focus, so we won't have to worry about nobody talking about anybody," said Mitchell.
Since bullying can be physical or verbal he wants to do what he can to stop it all together.
"So, we're going to have the kids looking good and send the same message," he said Mitchell.
He hopes this will help parents out too by taking on some of those back to school expenses.
