Iowa Park PD: 5 injured in rollover likely released from hospital

IOWA PARK, TX(RNN Texoma) - Iowa Park Police believe the five people injured following a rollover on Sunday morning have been released from the hospital.

Around 9:30 a.m. first responders were called out to US-287 near the El Sancho Mexican Restaurant for an accident.

According to IPPD, a pickup traveling north on 3rd Street lost control, drove through a yard and fence, crossed the access road, went down an embankment and hit an SUV on US-287.

The SUV had five people inside.

Firefighters used the jaws of life to free one person from the overturned SUV.

Everyone in the SUV was taken to the hospital to be treated, one by Air Evac helicopter.

On Tuesday, IPPD said the five people have likely been released from the hospital.

The accident is under investigation. Officials with the IPPD said they were not aware of the condition of the driver of the pickup.
