THE HEAT IS ON!  It remains a very hot and dry forecast through the end of this week into the weekend. Highs will be near or slightly above 100, with a heat index running between 104 and 109 in the afternoon. By the weekend, we may see humidity levels drop some with temperatures rising by a degree or two as this happens. Next week doesn't look as hot with at least some possible rain chances making a return.
