ARCHER COUNTY, TX (RNN Texoma) - Two women were arrested in Archer County following a two-year investigation.
According to the Archer County Sheriff, in 2016, Pete George Speck was arrested for Sexual Assault of a Child after an 11-year-old victim came forward and gave a detailed account of the repeated abuse.
Weeks later, the victim recanted his statements made and the case against Pete Speck was dismissed.
In August 2018, the same victim spoke with the same ACSO investigator that was assigned to the sexual assault case in reference to an unrelated abuse case.
During the interview, the victim said the reason he recanted his statements two years prior was due to coercion from Jenifer Boston-Conner, 32, and Showna Speck, 52.
Boston-Conner and Speck are related to the victim and the suspect. According to the ACSO, the suspects did not want Pete Speck to be charged and forced the victim to reverse the victim’s initial account of events and say they sexual assaults did not actually happen.
Following an investigation that involved interviewing other witnesses and gathering additional evidence, warrants were issued for Boston-Conner and Speck for one count of Tampering with a Witness.
The charge is a first-degree felony. At the time this article was published, both women remained in the Archer County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
