WICHITA FALLS, TX (RNN Texoma) -
It’s week six of the high school football season, which means several teams are on their bye at the half-way point of the season.
One of them, the Hirschi Huskies who are four and one and rank as the number eight team in the state according to Dave Campbell’s Texas Football.
So how does coach Danny Youngs think the first-half has gone?
He’s pleased, but not just with the record.
“You know we’re happy," Hirschi head coach Danny Youngs said. "We’ve had some bumps along the way but I think we have grown from them. To get through the non-district healthy is really one of the main things you want to do, might be more important than winning games.
"To be out 4-1, to be healthy; we are right where we want to be.”
The Huskies will be on the road next week at Decatur to start district play.
