WICHITA FALLS, TX (RNN Texoma) - There was snow on the ground across much of Texoma when the sun set Friday. Today parts of north Texas made it to 70 degrees. Sunday could be a few degrees warmer for Wichita Falls and Lawton with highs in the upper 60s to near 70. A storm system, now bringing rain to Arizona, will move our way over the next 24 hours increasing both clouds and winds across Texoma Sunday. Fortunately the cloud cover won’t prevent a nice warm up.
There is a chance of rain late Sunday night into Monday morning but those chances are not good. We get one more relatively warm day Monday before temperatures drop closer to normal for January. By week’s end, highs will be in the low 50s. Another chance of rain comes Thursday into Friday.
