WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - A tax warrant was issued on Monday for MAL Enterprises Incorporated, the parent company for the Cash Saver in Wichita Falls. The grocery store is being liquidated due to declining sales at the location.
Documents filed in the 30th District Court say MAL Enterprises Inc. owes taxes to the City of Wichita Falls, Wichita County, and the Wichita Falls ISD for 2018. MAL Enterprises Inc. owes $13,573.63 to the City of Wichita Falls, $22,688.43 to the WFISD, and $12,221.01 to Wichita County.
The total amount comes out to $48,483.07 in owed taxes. This amount is due by January 31, 2019. If not paid by that date, the price goes up to $51,876.88 and is due by February 28, or $52,846.55 and is due by March 31.
The Perdue, Brandon, Fielder, Collins & Mott, LPP law firm has been contracted to enforce the collection of the delinquent taxes, penalties, and interest. The firm will be given 20-percent of the amount collected.
