WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - Despite a lot of cloud cover, temperatures should make it to the mid 50s this afternoon. South winds will be stronger Wednesday and temperatures will be warmer with highs in the mid and upper 60s. It will be a bit of a roller coaster ride temperature wise between now and the weekend. After 60s Wednesday, we’re limited to the 50s Thursday with north winds.
We expect a warm Friday with highs in the 70s before a cold front blasts in. The result is a bitter cold weekend when we’ll be below freezing through most of Saturday and Sunday. Most of the uncertainty surrounding the cold front is the chance of precipitation, whether it be thunderstorms Friday night or snow Saturday. Those chances appear to be slight.
