WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) -
The third and final suspect charged in connection with the 2015 deadly shooting of Domanic Thrasher has taken a plea deal.
The Wichita Co. District Attorney John Gillespie said Whiten O’Brien pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was given 15 years for her part in the murder of the 2013 Rider High School graduate.
The plea deal was based on her minimal role in the murder, according to the DA. Gillespie said O’Brien had no plea deal or immunity on the table before testifying during the murder trials of Blayne Brooks and Justin Love.
Brooks, the shooter, was sentenced to 60 years in prison in November 2016 and Love was sentenced to 50 years in prison in December 2018.
O’Brien was given nearly three and a half years credit for time served by 30th District Judge Jeff McKnight. She will be taken to a prison within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice to serve the remainder of her sentence.
