WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - The colder side of February blasted in to north Texas early this morning. Temperatures quickly dropped to the 30s, wind chills to the teens. The powerful cold front also pushed thunderstorms out of the area. We will see sunshine today. In fact, today may be the sunniest of the next five days but it will not be warm. Temperatures will be in the 30s much of the day, wind chills in the 20s.
The coldest weather of the week come tonight into Friday morning when temperatures might drop into the upper teens. If Wichita Falls drops below 20 degrees Friday morning, that will be our coldest temperature of the winter so far. Clouds return to our skies midday Friday and will likely stay with us through Monday. Temperatures remain chilly this weekend and a chance of rain returns Sunday night into Monday.
