WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - Last summer, News Channel Six teamed up with Castaway Cove to hold Texoma’s Top Talent. The winner preformed in week one, and one the week with 50% of the vote to move on to the Finale.
So, where is she now?
Morning Anchor Jake Garcia caught up with her early this week. Since hitting all the right notes with viewers last summer Tatum has since packed up her bags and moved over 17 hundred miles away to Redding, California.
Before auditioning for Texoma’s Top Talent Lacey lead worship for 5 years at River Assembly of God in Burkburnett. Last August she told us she would use the $1,000 Grand Prize to pay for school tuition at The Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry. Lacey wants to be a Worship Pastor after graduation.
In her spare time she has been writing new music. “I’ve written two songs, which is saying something because I used to be terrible at writing music...I’m Learning. I’ve found friends who want to write music with me...and it’s been a great experience, there is a lot of talented people here.” Tatum said.
Lacey graduates from The Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry in May and will return to Burkburnnett to pursue her dreams in worship music..
Tatum says winning helped her to be more confident in her talent, and continues to motivates her to write more music. Lacey wants to encourage others to take a leap of faith and pursue their dreams.
