WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - Congressman Mac Thornberry was in Wichita Falls Thursday morning and gave us an update on the Natural Resources Management Act.
Part of that bill addresses and will hopefully fix the issues for Texoma landowners along the Red River who have been having disputes with the Federal Bureau of Land Management.
Those disputes between what is private and what is federal have been going on now for years.
Congressman Thornberry tells us he wants the legislation to keep moving forward.
"It does have some provisions added on that relate to the red river controversy affecting us," said Congressman Thornberry. "I'm very hopeful that, that along with the bill that just passed will take all the steps Congress needs to take to get this red river controversy resolved."
This month the Red River Gradient Boundary Survey Act passed the Senate as part of the Natural Resources Management Act.
