Gas prices continue upward trend

WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - Gas prices are up again this week in Wichita Falls and across Texas. The average price for a gallon of gas in Wichita Falls is $2.14 this week.

That price is up seven cents from last week but still 12 cents less than this time last year. The cheapest price we found in Wichita Falls is $2.04 at two Murphy USA locations on Archer City Highway and Airport Drive.

The statewide average is up six cents this week at $2.18. Texas is among 40 states seeing increases in gas prices this week.

Prices at the pump are on the rise as refineries get ready for spring gasoline production and maintenance season, as well as due to rising crude oil prices, according to AAA Texas.
