WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) -Wichita Falls residence opted for some fresh air and outdoor time this St.Patrick’s Day. Many, still wearing green, agreed the most important thing today was to spend time with family and friends.
Mark James was out at the park today with his wife and children, and while the kids played, he and his wife got some much-needed downtime.
“We got two little ones. We got them out here at the park to let them run off some energy,” said James.
“I’m a disabled Veteran, so we get to spend much time with our kids and grandkids. We have been very blessed to be able to do this stuff,” Jame adds. During spring break we will let them run around and bring them to the park.
The Meyers were also getting some exercise over on the basketball court. After checking out the St. Patrick festival yesterday, they wanted a little slower day before they prepared for their spring break trip.
"So we are just at the park for St Patrick’s day, and then spring break is this week, so we are going to Oklahoma City and go to Bricktown and some stuff up there, "said Chad Meyers.
All over town today Wichita Falls residents were taking advantage of the spring-like weather, exercising, hanging out and fishing.
It is safe to say Wichitans are ready for spring.
