WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - Downtown Wichita Falls Development officials believe this weekend’s St. Patrick’s Day festival was a big hit.
The festival kicked off at 2 p.m. on Saturday with plenty of food, drinks, bands, and games for the whole family.
“We are just absolutely blown away. It was a beautiful weekend down here. We couldn’t have ordered better weather if we tried,” said Jana Schmader, the Executive Director for Downtown Wichita Falls Development. “People just showed up in record numbers. It was a very energetic, positive community spirit led day and we are just really excited about that.”
Schmader said like most of their events, all of the money raised will help pay for their downtown projects. She said exact attendance numbers plus money raised should be available in about a week.
