WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - A Wichita Falls woman was arrested over the weekend for theft.

According to court documents, on January 2, 2019, an area supervisor for Sonic Drive In reported a theft of three deposits totaling $3,999.45 by an employee identified at Crystal Gee, 36.

The thefts took place at the Sonic Drive In on Taft Blvd. between December 22 and December 25, 2018.

Security footage showed Gee placing money into clear deposit bags and putting them in her coat and apron instead of putting them into the business safe on three different occasions.

The area supervisor also turned over a copy of a text message from Gee’s sister. The conversation was allegedly between Gee and her daughter.

In the thread Gee is alleged to have said, “I took some deposits from work that never made it to the bank.” Investigators made several attempts to contact Gee to see if she would provide a statement. Those attempts were unsuccessful.

On March 5, 2019, a warrant for Theft Over $2,500 Under $30,000 was signed for her arrest. Gee was booked into the Wichita Co. Jail on Sunday where she remained, at the time this story was published, on a $3,000 bond.
