WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - After the departure of offensive coordinator Adam Austin and wide receivers coach Donte Ellington, Midwestern State had some coaching positions to fill.

Today, the Mustangs announced Sky Mornhinweg as the new QB coach and Ashton Aikens as the incoming wide receivers coach.

Mornhinweg is a former quarterback at the University of Florida and Columbia University but most recently was a graduate assistant at Ohio State University.

Aikens has spent time at Southern Illinois and, most recently, Western Michigan as the Wide Receivers coach.

MSU Texas also hired Nick Sanchez as the new cornerbacks coach, replacing Freddie Banks.

Sanchez was a three-year starting CB at Stanford before getting an undrafted free agent signee to the Oakland Raiders in 2013.

He has made stops at the Ave Maria University, Albany University and Western Michigan.
