WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - Yesterday’s high in Wichita Falls was 83 degrees making it the warmest of the year so far. Today will be warmer by four or five degrees. The hottest weather of the week (and the year, so far) comes tomorrow when highs will be in the low 90s. The average high this time of the year is 74 degrees.
Much cooler air moves in behind a cold front that sweeps through Wednesday night. By Thursday morning, winds will be strong out of the north. Thursday’s highs will be about 25 degrees cooler than Wednesday. We’ll finish the week with cold mornings and mild afternoons. Temperatures might drop to the upper 30s Friday and Saturday morning.
The coolest weather in the 7 day forecast comes Saturday with scattered showers and thunderstorms and highs in the 50s. Despite the chance of thunderstorms, severe weather is not expected.
