WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - News Channel 6 is learning more about a fire that impacted one building and one home in Wichita Falls Wednesday morning.
Crews were called to a vacant business in the 2200 block of Avenue F. around 6 a.m. The building was engulfed in flames. The fire spread to a home in the 1500 block of Polk Street.
The vacant business was formerly an upholstery business and fabric bolts and furniture stored inside. Fire officials said there were some homeless people living inside.
This building was a total loss. There was $15,000 in damage to the home on Polk and $3,000 in damage to things inside the home.
Our crew on scene said the ladder truck was used to put out the fire from the top of the vacant building.
The fire was under control just before 7 a.m. No one was injured. The fire remains under investigation. Stay with News Channel 6 for the latest on this developing news.
