WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - This morning Wichita Falls ISD held their 13th annual Partners in Education senior send-off at Midwestern State University.
The event gave about 750 seniors from around the district the chance to learn about life after high school.
“Our plan from the beginning has always been. What are you going to do Tuesday after Memorial Day? Our students graduate on Saturday, they have Memorial Day holiday. Tuesday what are you doing? Do you have a plan? Are you going to college? Are you going to the military? Do you have a job lined up? And so, this just a way for our community to say hey, here’s some opportunities in town, and here’s some things you might want to think about," Superintendent Michael Kuhrt said.
They were able to attend workshops about cooking and grocery shopping, financial aid resources, what college life is like, and how to market themselves for a successful future.
