WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - The Wichita Falls ISD held a college and career fair on Tuesday.
The event was held to give students an opportunity to prepare for their future. Dozens of businesses around Texoma and several colleges met with students.
The students got the opportunity to learn about available opportunities and do a little bit of networking.
“Our goal is to prepare students for a life after high school. Whatever that looks like. So, we have sophomores through seniors that are starting to enter the workforce as part-time employees or those who are about to graduate and need full-time jobs. We’re trying to expose them to places they can possibly apply and just kind of get them excited about entering into the workforce or going onto higher education,” Michelle Wood, CTE Director for WFISD said.
Last year, the fair only included healthcare businesses. But this year, the district was happy to involve businesses from all fields.
