WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) -The Loco for Cinco festival was held downtown Wichita Falls, and within the first couple of hours hundreds showed up on Travis street.
Live bands were taking turns on the stage, tons of authentic foods was served up, and plenty of dancing. Festival-goers enjoyed all the festivities that go along with celebrating the victory of the Battle of Puebla. The event organizer says the amount of people out so early was quite a surprise.
“Its so good I’m so excited to have this," Alicia Duran said. "The proceeds will go to MAVA, the Mexican American Veteran Association, so come out get some yummy food dance and have a good time.”
The free event was put on by the Potencia Project, an organization that specializes in opportunities with the Hispanic Community.
