WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - Today’s weather will be fairly quiet and warm with partly cloudy skies, a south breeze and highs in the mid 80s. Tuesday and and Wednesday are First Alert weather days based on the forecast of severe thunderstorms. Tuesday, we expect isolated thunderstorms to develop late in the day. May of these storms will produce hail. More numerous storms are forecast Wednesday, both morning and afternoon, when hail high winds and even tornadoes are possible.
The risk of severe weather drops considerably as winds become northerly by Thursday. Temperatures will be below normal to finish the work week. In fact, high temperatures might be in the 60s both Thursday and Friday. Forecast models hint at a chance of showers Friday evening into Saturday morning. Weekend high temperatures will be in the 70s.
