WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) -The Love’s Travel Stop in Wichita Falls was the place to be today to see some famous faces, as the Kyle Petty Charity Ride made a pit stop in its journey across America.

The former NASCAR driver was joined by his father 'The King' Richard Petty and former Dallas Cowboy Herschel Walker.

The cross-country motorcycle ride raises funds for Victory Junction, a camp founded by Petty in North Carolina for kids with chronic illnesses.

The 9 day ride started in Seattle and will finish in Key Largo, Florida.

This morning’s stop in the Falls was the first stop of day six in their 3,700 mile journey.

“Since this was our 25th anniversary, we allowed 30 more and it’s crazy with 150 bikes, it’s hard to believe you add 30 bikes it gets a little crazy. But about 120 is our normal - we’ve got about 10 guys on this ride, 10 people, men and women, who have been here all 25 years. So they’re a special group, they’ve ridden 25 years with us,” Kyle Petty told News Channel 6.

“I think my favorite stop is anywhere I stop in Texas. I live in Dallas and any time I get to stop in Texas I’m excited,” Herschel Walker added.

After about an hour, the riders mounted up again and headed down US 287 on their way to their next stop in Sherman.
