WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - Wichita Falls Police say a man spent more than a year stalking is ex-girlfriend before he was arrested earlier this week.
Police arrested 40-year-old Fidel Jaramillo Tuesday on charges including Stalking, Assault Family Violence, Violation of a Protective Order and Harassment.
According to court documents, Jaramillo began stalking his ex girlfriend around January 2018 resulting in a police report for harassment. Over the next year, at least 19 police reports were filed including harassment, assault, criminal mischief, terrorist threats and interference with an emergency phone call.
The victim of the stalking told police she was constantly being harassed by text messages, phone calls and Jaramillo showing up at her home in the middle of the night, sometimes causing damage to her property.
Text messages documented abusive and threatening behavior towards the woman.
Jaramillo remains in the Wichita County Jail Thursday afternoon, despite posting bond, due to a judge’s order for a 48 hour hold.
