Rain is a bigger part of Friday, Saturday forecast

WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - It’s downright chilly this morning with temperatures in the 40s area wide. The average low this time of the year is upper 50s. The good news this morning is those north winds have calmed down. Today will be partly cloudy with a chance of afternoon and evening showers. Winds will be north at 10 to 15 and highs will be in the low and mid 60s. Tonight we expect to see hit and miss showers as temperatures fall through the 50s.

Saturday’s rain forecast is a challenge because the disturbance bringing rain is weak and disorganized. So, the rain will come in the form of hit and miss showers rather than large swath of rain with a definite beginning and end. We still think rain chances will be best Saturday morning and slight in the afternoon. Mother’s day will be great with partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 70s
