WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - Downtown Wichita Falls was filled with runners this afternoon for the annual Autism Awareness Color Run.
The event featured hundreds of runners, many of whom have a loved one on the autism spectrum.
It also featured a lot of color.
Runners and walkers were blasted with colored dust throughout the route.
Organizers say the money raised stays with families here in the Wichita Falls area.
“What this event does, it raises money in order to provide access for families here locally to get those therapies, the individual attention and the group therapies. That’s what this event does. So it looks fun and it is fun and it is colorful but the heart behind it is to get people the help that they need,” Austism Wichita Falls board member Arron Rask said.
The color run takes place each year, you can learn more about upcoming fundraisers and event by following Wichita Falls Autism Awareness on Facebook.
