Man arrested after allegedly causing “serious injury” to a 28-day-old child

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TNN) - A Burkburnett man is in the Wichita County Jail after police said he caused “serious bodily injury” to a 28-day-old child.

According to an arrest affidavit, police said it happened in Burkburnett last Friday. The child suffered life-threatening and long-term injuries and was eventually taken to Cook Children’s Medical Center in the metroplex.

Keegan Jacob Freeman, 23, was arrested in connection with the case and faces a felony charge of Injury to a Child with Serious Bodily Injury.

Police said the child is still in the hospital and doctors told police the child may have more injuries but is not in stable enough condition for any more testing.
