WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TNN) -2020 is just a few days away and now is the time to prepare for celebrations.

Around this time of year people usually spend their last few days of the month deciding what their New Year’s resolutions are going to be, but before all that happens customers come in to prepare for the celebration of the new decade.

“Mainly we’ve been selling a lot of black eyed peas, cabbage and stuff for superstitions,” said Market Street Assistant Manager Andrew Stevens. “Obviously champagne and all that good stuff as well.”

Market Street usually sees a rush of last minute shopping for food and party supplies.

“It’s like more at the last minute like they just decided to throw a party together at the last minute but we sell more of the food portions, chips and dip, champagne, stuff like that,” said Stevens.

Over the years, champagne has become one of the more popular purchases for New Year’s Eve.

Market Street is open on New Year’s day if you still need to grab those last minute party supplies.
