WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TNN) - The Wichita Falls Wranglers have been suspended by the American Basketball Association for failure to follow the league’s code of conduct, rules and regulations.
The ABA CEO Joseph Newman said the Wrangler’s failure to play a scheduled road game and lack of communication were cornerstones of the decision.
Newman also said the Wranglers would be welcome back into the league if team owner Malcolm Manning and the league could resolve their issues.
On Friday, Manning, posted on facebook that the team will now join the Texas Basketball Association in April.
Manning has not responded to any attempt to reach out from News Channel 6.
This was their inaugural season, and the first attempt to bring ABA basketball to Wichita Falls.
