HENRIETTA, Texas (TNN) - The Henrietta Volunteer Fire Department put on a parade to give back to the community on Thursday.
It was only one vehicle and one firefighter, Ryan Murphy, but he said he wanted to bring a smile to people’s faces.
“A lot of friends here have kids that are, they’ve been out of school what, three, four weeks now and they’re not able to see their friends, not really able to go do what they are used to being able to do and it just kind of pulled at the heart strings a little bit,” Murphy said. “You hate seeing a kid down and depressed like that, when really they don’t know and understand what’s going on. So you know, just to brighten their day a little bit if we can.”
Everyone along the route, which went through Henrietta neighborhoods, was happy to wave at Murphy.
