WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TNN) - Downtown Wichita Falls Development has announced a new event taking place later this year.
“Downtown Chowtown” is happening on October 10 and will be a food truck rally.
“We’re hoping to bring in some outside vendors that will come regionally as well as our local food truck vendors there,” Jana Schmader, executive director of DWFD said.
The event comes as other major events in Wichita Falls were canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Obviously canceling St. Patrick’s Day Festival and Cajun Fest earlier this spring took a big toll so we’re ready to get back to business,” Schmader said.
Jana add’s they are staying in constant contact with local leaders and the heath department to ensure the event will be as safe as possible.
More information will be released about they event as it becomes available.
