WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TNN) - Thanks to the generosity of the group of women that make up Impact 100 Wichita Falls, a $59,000 grant has been awarded to one Texoma nonprofit.
They awarded the grant to the Arc of Wichita County on Thursday night.
Each woman gives a $1,000 gift that is pulled together to create this transformational grant.
While COVID-19 forced us to take the voting and Big Give online, the night was still an exciting one.
“This grant just meant so much to us to know that all of these women came together and were supporting all five of these organizations,” said Addison Roberts, executive director of the Arc of Wichita County. “The fact that they chose us, we feel so special and so proud of our project, of our organization and what this is going to do for our community.”
The $59,000 grant will allow the Arc of Wichita County to double the number of people they serve by expanding their Day Habilitation program.
It’s the only one in the county and gives individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities an opportunity to be integrated within the community in a number of ways.
