First COVID-19 death in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY, Texas (TNN) - Clay County Judge Mike Campbell announced Thursday the county has seen its first COVID-19 death.

Judge Campbell says the patient was a 31-year-old man from Petrolia who died in Wichita County.

He’s also reporting Clay Count has a total of 32 COVID-19 cases with 20 recoveries.

24 of the patients tested positive in Clay County while eight other patients tested positive outside of the county.
