MSU Texas COVID-19 news

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TNN) - The entire MSU Texas football team as well as the coaching staff are under quarantine after a player tested positive for COVID-19.

The player received a positive result after a practice Saturday morning and everyone at the practice is required to quarantine for 14 days due to Wichita County Public Health District protocols.

The Maroon and Gold Fall Game originally scheduled for Oct. 31 was also canceled, Sports Information Director Trey Reed confirmed Wednesday morning.

Reed says an MSU Texas volleyball player also tested positive for COVID-19 last week. The volleyball team has been in quarantine since receiving the result.

The MSU Texas athletic programs are following the protocols from the CDC and the NCAA to ensure the health of student-athletes and the campus community, according to Reed.
