WILBARGER COUNTY, Texas (TNN) - Wilbarger General Hospital will no longer be allowing visitors due to the increase of local hospitalizations due to COVID-19.

The rule will go into effect starting this Saturday at 7 a.m.

Hospital officials will reassess the situation each week to determine when they can allow visitors again.

Wilbarger County has seen a total of 470 COVID-19 cases with 39 of them still being active.

According to the state of Texas' COVID-19 Tracker, Wilbarger County has recorded seven total COVID-19 related deaths.
