WICHITA FALLS, Texas (TNN) - The Wichita Falls – Wichita County Public Health District has created a waitlist application for those wanting to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.

As of this time, the health district is currently only vaccinating Phase 1A and 1B per the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS).

A representative from the health district will contact you depending on vaccine availability and if you meet the Phase 1A and 1B requirements.

You will not be eligible for the vaccine if you have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 90 days or had direct contact with someone who has tested positive.

Those who sign up but do not meet the Phase 1A and 1B requirements will have their name saved to be contacted the next Phase of vaccines is issued.

Phase 1A consists of hospital, long-term care, EMS 911, home health, outpatient, ER/Urgent Care, pharmacies, last responders, school nurses and long-term care residents.

Phase 1B consists on people 65+ or people 16+ with at least one chronic medical condition, including pregnancy.
